RVIA Keeping Show Space Rates, Membership Costs in Check

Space rates for this year’s National RV Trade Show and California RV Show will be kept at 2007 levels. This action follows the practice of keeping member costs in check. Membership dues and seal costs have been held at the same level since 2003.

“We are trying to be sensitive to the current business environment by keeping association costs for members at current levels,” said RVIA President Richard Coon. “We pride ourselves on providing the best service in the most economically way possible. “

In other actions related to RVIA trade shows:
  • Extended RVIA’s contract with the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) through 2012.
  • Capped the space at the California RV Show to 1.23 million net square feet.
  • Voted to exclude park trailers to maximize the space available to RVIA member companies.
  • Amended a requirement that RV manufacturers at RVIA shows that are not members of RVIA provide a statement that the exhibitor’s units are produced in accordance with ANSI/NFPA standards.
  • Amended show rules to allow truck campers to remain attached to the pick-up trucks used to move the units into the exhibit hall.
  • Set the Fall 2009 Board of Directors meeting for Sept. 11-12 in Hershey, Pa.
