RV-C Information Available Through RVIA.org

At the 2007 National RV Trade Show, RVIA brought together RV manufacturers, suppliers and vendors to introduce RV-C – a unique multiplexing system designed and approved by RVIA technical subcommittees to streamline interactions among all RV components. Now, interested industry members are able to get more information on RV-C quickly and easily by visiting www.rvia.org and linking to the RV-C website.

The RV-C website provides:
  • Official draft documents of the RV-C specs
  • Corporate blogs for manufacturers offering RV-C compliant components
  • Resources such as: “A Vendor’s Guide to RV-C” and “Designing an RV with RV-C”
  • Information on upcoming events such as “Network Fest 2008”
  • An RV-C technical forum
  • A PGN summary table

"RV-C uses the same core technology that the United States government mandates for every new car and truck. Just two wires connect all electronic components in the network, allowing full communications between every element of the RV," said Bruce Hopkins, RVIA vice president of standards and education. "RV-C brings the RV industry into a new era of technological progress, and will impact how RVs are designed, manufactured, serviced, and enjoyed."

To get to www.RV-C.com from www.rvia.org, simply:
  • Log onto www.rvia.org
  • Select the “Technical Info & Training” tab
  • Click on “Standards” from the drop down list
  • Click on “RV-C” listed in the blue box to the left of the page
  • Double click the link (www.RV-C.com) in the center or at the bottom of the page.
