Winnebago Industries, Inc. (NYSE:WGO), the nation’s top-selling motor home manufacturer, will be going Hollywood during the 41st annual Winnebago-Itasca Travelers (WIT) Club Grand National Rally (GNR) scheduled July 18 – 23, 2010.
“We are excited to bring a little ‘tinsel town’ fanfare to Forest City for our week long Grand National Rally,” said WIT General Manager Doug Formanek. “With over 1,300 Winnebago Industries motor homes expected, - up nearly ten percent from last year - we are looking forward to a fun-filled week of celebrity look-alikes and red carpet activities as we celebrate our Hollywood Legends theme!”
Held at the rally grounds across from Winnebago Industries’ headquarters in Forest City, the 41st annual Grand National Rally promises to be an active week, filled with informative seminars, great entertainment and most importantly, fun. Many attendees will be dressed as their favorite actor or actress, and will participate in such events as the Happy Camper Cookoff, Motor Home Rodeo and the first ever “WIT Movie” where attendees will star in a movie filmed entirely during the rally. Best performance awards will even be given out for event winners throughout the week.
“With over 3,000 people expected to attend, this week will mark movie history in Forest City,” Formanek said. “I’m sure Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and even Roy Rogers will make an appearance. But the real star of the week is the RV lifestyle that WIT members enjoy in their Winnebago Industries motor homes - is the perfect mix of fun, friendship and camaraderie – and the real reason our members return home every year. We look forward to celebrating Hollywood Legends this July!”
Although the rally officially doesn’t begin until July 18, WIT members typically start arriving as early as two to three weeks early for pre-rally events and to participate in Forest City’s Puckerbrush Days activities.
“It’s not too late to register,” Formanek added. “WIT members that are interested can call 1-800-643-4892, ext. 1, or visit www.witclub.com and click on the “Special GNR Edition” tab for details about the event and registration information.”
Membership in WIT is open to anyone who owns a Winnebago Industries motor home and there are currently more than 14,000 Club members. WIT members are eligible for special member benefits and can also participate in local, state, regional and special interest clubs, and travel on a variety of WIT Club managed special events called caravans and rallies.

Country Coach International (CCI), a recreation club celebrating 25 years as an Family Motor Coach Association Chapter devoted to Country Coach motor coach owners, is pleased to announce it raised $7,298 for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.
This CMN affiliated hospital was the official rally charity chosen to benefit from charitable giving at the CCI TEXAS ROUNDUP RALLY held at the Buckhorn Lake RV Resort, in Kerrville, Texas.
Rally Hosts Jerry & Geneva Keeton and Joe & Beverly Smith partnered with Sherry Fanning, CCI Club Manager, to promote this worthwhile cause to its 140 rally attendees during the May 19-23, 2010 rally. A miracle family shared with the group about how CMN ministered to their needs when their 16-year-old daughter was diagnosed with cancer.
Numerous rally attendees and select business partners of CCI donated an assortment of quality items which were awarded through a raffle drawing and an auction during the rally. They included western art, home décor, RV resort free stays, fine wines, gift baskets and more. Among the generous business partners who donated prizes to the auction were Buckhorn Lake RV Resort, Bella Terra of Gulf Shores, Fantasy RV Tours, Big Rigs Best Bets Campground Directory, Dazzling Detail, and Mobile RV Lube. One of the rally attendees, Ralph Tysdal, lent his auctioneering skills to auctioneer at the Charity Auction. Raffle ticket sales and donations at the auction combined to raise the $7,298 total.
Next on the Country Coach International Club Rally Schedule is the Combined Country Coach Area Clubs’ Fall Rally to be held in Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC on October 25-29. One hundred fifty CCI member coaches will gather at this CCI-sponsored event. Rally Information and Registration Forms are available at www.countrycoachclub.com (You must be a member of CCI to attend).
The club launched its new website at www.countrycoachclub.com late last year with numerous online features specifically geared to benefit Country Coach International club members. An online members directory, members only forum, service and parts information, and more are posted at website to address the interests of CC brand motorcoaches.
Country Coach International Club is an independent chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) and is a non-profit organization functioning as the social club for Country Coach Motorcoach Owners.
