Dealer Attendance Up
70% Arrow Bonanza '99, Arrow Distributing's 6th annual product show, opened against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains at the Reno Hilton in Reno, NV. The 47,000-square-foot show attracted dealers from Nevada to North Carolina, Michigan to Texas, giving Arrow Distributing it's first taste of a truly national show. The number of dealersattending this year's show increased 70% over last year's attendance, and the number of vendors represented at the show increased by more than 25%. The Bonanza started with a preview of the show, followed by a cocktail reception hosted by Arrow Distributing. The first full day of Arrow Bonanza '99 featured manufacturing seminars which included Firestone's "Just Add Air" seminar about its Ride-Rite air helper spring, and Barker showed its new "4-Wheeler" Tote Tank. Throughout the show door prizes were given away. Dealers won cash and products donated by such vendors as Camco, Eaz-Lift, Quality S, Shurflo, Suburban and Valterra..
Dealers benefited from the interaction with the vendors and Arrow staff at the dealer/vendor luncheon and the gala banquet. They also were entitled to the lowest pricing of the year, making this show a profitable one for everyone involved. Major vendors such as BAL, Tekonsha, Norcold, Roadmaster and Reese increased their sales anywhere up to 130% over last year. Attendees also got a look at Arrow's latest project, an interactive CD-ROM of Arrow's catalog, which will be ready this spring. Paul Terry of McClain's RV Superstore in Oklahoma City, said, "It was a great show with good prices, and it was well represented by vendors." Arrow's new national sales manager Brent Carter who formerly worked for Reese Products said, "The show was very 'buyer friendly', and the dealers I met with were optimistic about the '99 season and prepared to buy. I've worked several shows for Reese this year, and the Arrow pricing was extremely competitive. This year's show was the largest Arrow show I can recall, and it's only going to grow in the years ahead." RVN |
