Update of Reese Products
Walk the Talk
Three years ago RV News visited a then new Reese Products management team in Indiana. The company had reached a low ebb in its illustrious history as a major manufacturer of hitches and towing products. The new management team had its work cut out for it. We decided to go sit down with Reese to see what has happened in those years and see what progress has been made. Read what Reese's President says about how Reese is doing and how everyone in the company has contributed to the progress, despite some market conditions that caused them to cease doing business with a major customer.

Using the Internet
Look Before You Leap
In our continuing series on using the Internet, Koehn weighs the decisions facing many companies in the industry today -- establishing an independent web presence where the costs and effectiveness might be questionable or joining a service that provides an umbrella for RV related information. It's a decision that all companies face or will face as the Internet becomes a more viable and hard to ignore factor in marketing. Read what factors Koehn believes should be analyzed prior to making that decision and see if it will help shape your company's plans to use the Internet in your overall marketing scheme. Plus, a potpourri of short articles on industry companies and associations using the Internet and what's been happening at the RV America Web Site.

Market Expansion
It's All about Vision and Our Collective Commitment
By Tom Faludy
It's been a long struggle of what looked as if it would be a losing battle, but it appears that the RV industry is on the verge of launching a major market expansion effort. The RVIA board of directors voted recently to approve a three-year funding plan that would be the foundation for a $5 million program. All the program needs now is an affirmative vote from the majority of voting members and the plan will go forward. Tom Faludy has been one of the key architects of the success of the program and he puts his thoughts down as the battle to win approval ends and the challenge to make it all work begins. Read Faludy's challenge to the industry and see how each member of the industry can and must participate.
