RVs Move America Economic Impact Study was released June 3, 2019 at the RVIA annual meeting.

It revealed the RV industry has an overall economic impact on the US economy of $114 billion, supports nearly 600,000 jobs, with more than $32 billion in wages, and pays more than $12 billion in federal, state, and local taxes.

The announcement was made by Garry Enyart, RVIA chairman, and Onan/Cummins Director of Mobile Generator Sales & Coach Care.

Reports of ‘Restructuring’ at Travel Lite RV

156804392038430.pngA restructuring with employee layoffs is reportedly underway at RV manufacturer Travel Lite RV but with few details released, according to published reports.

According to The Goshen News, calls to the company's main phone line ring without a live person answering and the publication has not spoken to anyone with the company as of Monday morning.

That reporting was also confirmed by Truck Camper Adventure, whose reporter spoke with Ryan Rebar, Travel Lite RV vice president of sales. He explained that the company is undergoing a “restructuring,” not a closure.

In Syracuse, Ind., Town Manager Mike Noe said he called up Travel Lite’s human resources department on Thursday and was told employees were laid off.

Travel Lite RV specializes in producing light-weight travel trailers and truck campers for the half-ton and 3/4-ton truck markets.
