All industry members are invited to attend the Grand Opening of the RV Technical Institute’s new facility in Elkhart on opening day of this year’s Open House.
RV Technical Institute Executive Director Curtis Hemmeler sent an invitation to the RV industry Wednesday noting opening of the facility “will launch a new chapter in the field of RV technicians, training both locally in Elkhart, and across the country.”
“This is the final step in the first phase of a process that started more than one year ago when the boards of the RV Industry Association and RVDA directed our team to create a new program that standardizes training on a national level,’ Hemmeler says.
The RVTI center “addresses the RV service technician shortage to improve RECT.”
The grand opening will allow the Institute “to show you the progress that we have made over the past year and what the team has been working to stand up.”
The celebration recognizes the complete industry effort and support from all facets of the RV community, he adds.
The Grand Opening celebration is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 23, from 5-7 P.M., during Open House week.
U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski will be on hand at a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by tours of the facility. For those unable to attend, additional tours will be provided throughout the week.
