A new truck top camper from AT Overland makes it debut at the Overland Expo East this weekend.
The Summit will be shown on a Jeep Gladiator Oct. 11-13 at the Overland Expo East, at Infinity Downs, in Arrington, Va.
The Summit is a lightweight wedge-style pop-up shell that sleeps two and can be deployed with 100 pounds of cargo on the roof.
Designed to fill the space between the traditional truck topper and a slide-in camper, the Summit can be opened by one person in less than a minute.
It offers 8 feet of headroom at the highest point and 6 feet at the lowest.
Measuring 48 inch by 80 inch, the sleeping platform includes a 2.5 inch thick mattress that lifts on gas-assisted springs. The mattress can remain in place when closed.
The durable, fire-retardant canvas tent is breathable and waterproof. An optional cold weather Thinsulate liner is available with matching window openings.
The shell is fabricated from the aluminum and honeycomb composites as the AT Overland Habitat TM topper.
The rear liftgate includes locks on the liftgate and top-latches. Windows are double pane acrylic windows and skylights are available.
Additional options include 12-volt power and USB ports, lighting, roof racks, solar panels, vehicle-recovery board mounting and customized interiors.
The list price of the Gladiator Summit is $9,100 base and delivery lead time of approximately eight weeks.
