Timed to National Manufacturing Day last week, SureShade held a grand opening for its new headquarters and production facility in Philadelphia.
The production plant will manufacture SureShade’s line of retractable sunshade systems for RVs and marine applications.
Visitors, including local politicians, employees and vendors, were provided with factory tours of the production processes for marine and RV sunshades.
SunShade’s new 11,000 square foot facility is three times larger that its previous plant and includes headquarter offices, training & product development space and a full manufacturing facility.
The grand opening marked a milestone for the 12-year-old manufacturing startup.
“When we first started this business we were focused on the marine industry, but boating is just one part of the overall $778 billion outdoor recreational ecosystem,” SureShade Co-Founder Dana Russikoff says.
“As we expanded into the $114 billion RV industry this year we are positioned for continued and sustainable growth,” Russikoff says.
The transition to the new facility went off without a hitch, SureShade Co-Founder and Engineer Ron Russikoff says.
“I am so proud of our incredible team accomplishing this move in record time with zero production downtime. We did not skip a shipment,”Ron Russikoff says.
