157314504119303.jpgFlorida-based RV aftermarket awning company Stone Vos has extended its warranty terms for fabric replacements.

The privately owned company previously had a warranty term of six years for its vinyl products and 10 years for its acrylic offerings. The new warranty term will now be 10 years, non-prorated, for all acrylic, vinyl and shade cloth product lines.

The new vinyl warranty makes Stone Vos the only company in the U.S. RV industry to offer a 10-year full replacement warranty on vinyl awning fabric, according to a statement released by the company.

“Since our founding, we have always worked closely with our fabric experts and consultants to help us in selecting our fabric and thread,” Stone Vos President and CEO Ingrid Throgmartin says. “With the help of our textile partners in Italy and Germany, we have arrived at three of the best fabrics for RVs. All of our fabrics are manufactured to our specifications and are trademarked under our own brands.”

Stone Vos’ trademarked fabric is offered in three separate categories: CoachGuard, an acrylic fabric; Migliore, a vinyl fabric; and SolarPro, a shade cloth fabric. All three fabric types now carry 10-year warranties.

“Our fabric testing is an ongoing process,” Throgmartin says. “We work directly with our textile mill partners and review their test results that are performed in Europe and then conduct our own tests at our facility in the harsh climate of Florida. Our latest tests for Migliore resulted in Stone Vos being able to offer the nation’s best warranty of vinyl awning fabric replacements—10 years.”

The new Stone Vos 10-year warranty is a non-prorated warranty and covers the fabric, thread and workmanship. The company’s current warranty claim rate statistics dating back more than a decade shows a warranty claim rate of 0.03 percent and a defect rate of 0.01 percent.

“I am proud of our products and more importantly of our extremely low warranty claim and defect rates,” Throgmartin says. “Our focus has always been on quality, which in the end saves us money. What has made us the leader is that we maintain these high quality standards year after year, as well as performing ongoing tests to ensure we are using the very best fabrics and thread.”

Stone Vos’ commercial and industrial division, Stone Vos Awning Systems, uses Migliore vinyl fabric on commercial and Industrial awnings in addition to specialized U.S. military canopy systems and sentry post installations.
