The RVIA will host its second safety seminar on Nov. 20. It will be an extension of RVIA’s first safety seminar on employee safety in the workplace, which it hosted earlier this year.

The members-only event called Creating a Safer Workplace: Practical Directions will take place at 8 a.m. at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart. Attendees will gain knowledge to assist them in their production facilities. A light breakfast will be offered beginning at 7 a.m.

The seminar will focus on how to identify, solve, evaluate and assess safety issues by covering topics such as:

• What does great safety performance look like?
• Supervisors’ roles in safety.
• Safety metrics and communication.
• Making sense of safety data.
• Hazard evaluation and assessment.

RVIA welcomes back Ted Schorn as the presenter for the event. Schorn is vice president of quality and technology with Enkei America, where he has worked more than 30 years. He has authored numerous books and papers to share his expertise with others on quality, workplace safety and leadership training. Schorn has also helped the trailer industry resolve wheel issues, and he has taught quality control measures in a series of workshops for RVIA members.

Registration closes Friday, Nov. 15. To register for the seminar, click here.
