RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Newmar Announces CSI Awards

NAPPANEE, Indiana – Newmar Corporation, the Indiana-based manufacturer of Type A Motorhomes has released the names of its dealers who are being recognized for providing excellent customer service over the past year.

The Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Award is presented to dealers who scored in a pre-determined percentile based on results from customer surveys. Fourteen Newmar dealers earned this coveted award by providing excellent customer service to Newmar customers receiving warranty work.

The 2015 award winners include: Ansley RV, Duncansville, Pennsylvania; Coachlight RV Sales Inc., Carthage, Missouri; Freedom RV, Tucson, Arizona; Independence RV Sales & Service, Winter Garden, Florida; Midway Motor Homes Inc., Grand Rapids, Michigan; Steinbring Motorcoach, Garfield, Minnesota; VR St-Cyr, St. Mathieu De Beloeil, Quebec; Midtown RV, LTD, Penticton, British Columbia; North Trail RV, Ft. Myers & Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; National Indoor RV Centers, Lewisville, Texas & Lilburn, Georgia; Transwest Truck and Trailer, Belton, Missouri & Grand Junction, Colorado and Southaven RV Center, Southaven, Mississippi.

Four dealers this year also earned the Mahlon Miller Service Excellence Award. Miller is the founder of Newmar and the award in his name recognizes those dealerships that most embody the spirit of customer service. This group of winners includes Steinbring Motorcoach and Ansley RV, Midway Motorhomes and Independence RV.

Also, this year an added award was issued for New Coach Delivery Excellence. The group included Midway Motorhomes, Steinbring Motorcoach, Coachlight RV, Midtown RV and Transwest Truck and Trailer.
