Don Clark of Grand Design Wins Entrepreneur of Year

Wed Jun 29, 2016

Don Clark of Grand Design Recreational Vehicles has been awarded the 2016 Ohio Valley EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the hospitality and leisure category.

Grand Design was founded in 2011 by Clark and brothers Bill and Ron Fenech, who left Keystone RV to pursue another opportunity in the RV industry. Clark took on the challenge and he says it has been a wonderful experience to build something special.

"There's a sea of manufacturers out there. When we started, we had to be different," Clark says. "We had to go left when everyone else went right. We don't follow the pack."

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award is one of the most prestigious business awards for new businesses and entrepreneurs. This is the award's 30th anniversary and Clark says the award is humbling and representative of everyone's hard work at the company.

"I'd like to congratulate all the other finalists," Clark said in his acceptance speech. "To build a great company, you first have to have a really strong idea and a purpose. You also need great people. We're very blessed to have 826 phenomenal people."
