WASHINGTON, D.C. - America is home to more than 11 million RV's. There are more recreational vehicles in this country than in all the other countries combined.
It was almost 90 years ago when Charles Lindbergh made that historic flight from New York to Paris in the single-engine plane. Today, the Spirit of St. Louis hangs in the Air and Space Museum.
But, if you follow the open road 600 miles west there's another place celebrating a part of Lindbergh's past.
“Elkhart County is known as the RV capital of the world,” RV Hall of Fame President Darryl Searer says.
