RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Thor Industries Ranks Fifth in Top U.S. Manufacturers

145382602566676.pngThor Industries, Inc. ranked fifth in IndustryWeek's annual listing of the top 50 performing public manufacturers in the United States.

Thor ranked below Apple, Polaris Industries, Deluxe Corp. and Sanderson Farms. The top RV manufacturer in the world put together a revenue of about $4 billion, experiencing a revenue growth of 13.65 percent over the year.

Thor recently expanded its revenue stream by purchasing Jayco for $576 million about two weeks ago, creating the largest manufacturer to manufacturer purchase in the industry.

Drew Industries, Inc. another RV and automobile parts company, came in at No. 11, with $1.4 billion of revenue and a 17.83 percent increase in revenue growth.
