RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Thor Industries Releases 2017 Outlaw Models

145382602566676.pngThor Motor Industries, Inc. has unveiled its 2017 Outlaw models in both the Type A and Type C toy haulers to the industry.

The Type A is built on a Ford F53 SuperDuty chassis and is measured from 38 feet, 4 inches to 39 feet, 11 inches with a height of 13 feet, 3 inches.

The new 38RE model has coffered and vaulted ceilings and a patio deck complete with an outside kitchen and big screen TV, according to the product information listed on the company website.

The motorhome also has an 8,000-pound tow hitch and an 80-gallon fuel tank.

Meanwhile, the Type C toy hauler is built on a Ford E-450 SuperDuty chassis and is measured at 30 feet, 9 inches long with a heigh of 10 feet, 10 inches.

The Type C motorhome also has the added flexibility of a multi-functional garage with 1,500 pounds of capacity and an 8,000-pound tow hitch with a 55-gallon fuel tank, according to the company website.

In addition to the 38RE, the Type As also are being released in the 37BG, 37RB and 38RF models.

The type C is built in just the 29H model.
