RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Crane Co. Announces Second Quarter Earnings of $712 Million

Crane Co. released its second quarter earning of $712 million in sales, a $1 million increase from the second quarter of 2015.

While the sales only experienced a small increase, the operating profit saw an increase of 9 percent, from $99 million in 2015 to $108 million this year. The earnings per share increased 14 percent and the free cash flow increased 13 percent, according tot he company's earning summary.

According to the company's earnings highlights, the sales and orders remained depressed, but are consistent with guidance. The sequential orders were up modestly and the project delays and modest pricing pressure have continued. The company's margins were on-track to achieve the full year guidance.
