RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Cavco Industries Releases First Quarter Results

Cavco Industries, Inc. has announced the financial results for the first fiscal quarter ended July 2.

Financial highlights include the following:

Net revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2017 totaled $185.1 million, up 14.5 percent from $161.7 million for the first quarter of fiscal year 2016. The increase was primarily from 17 percent higher sales volume, as the company sold 3,395 homes this quarter compared to 2,902 homes during last year's first fiscal quarter. The current quarter contains one additional month of Fairmont Homes operations versus the same quarter last year, as Fairmont Homes was purchased by the company on May 1, 2015.
