Goshen Redevelopment Commission Votes to Support Industrial Park

Fri Aug 12, 2016

GOSHEN, Indiana — After a debate about the use of public funds for infrastructure to create an industrial park that may house recreational vehicle industry-related factories, the Goshen Redevelopment Commission voted Tuesday to support the project.

The commission authorized an agreement with MA Investments, Waterford Commons Business Park LLC and Waterford Development Corp. for the establishment of a $1.09 million Tax Increment Finance reimbursement agreement for the installation of infrastructure for the new 10-lot industrial subdivision. The property is located in the Waterford Commons Business Park on the west side of Dierdorff Road, south of Kercher Road.

Through the agreement, the developers of the subdivision will essentially front the cost for the installation of the infrastructure, and then the city will reimburse the developers over a period of several years through the use of TIF funds.
