RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Equalizer Systems Expands Division With Metal Fabricating Facility

147101884696123.jpgElkhart, Indiana - Equalizer Systems has announced the expansion of its division with a metal fabricating facility.

Jason Loose, Division Manager of Equalizer Systems says all the stars aligned for the expansion and the company took advantage of it.

“We have the right people in place, with their knowledge and ability to make this natural change and growth opportunity not only for Equalizer Systems, but also for Elkhart County,” Loose says.

Equalizer Systems is a manufacturer of electric and hydraulic power lifting and leveling systems for horse trailers, motorsports, commercial and RV markets. Equalizer Systems made this decision to improve the quality, efficiency and control the cost of product for their customers and end users, according to a press release. Equalizer Systems is a division of Days Corporation and has been serving the horse trailer, motorsports, commercial and RV markets for 26 years.

Mindy Timm, a marketing specialist for Equalizer Systems says that the company engaged in a trial run for the facility to make sure everything would work the way it was supposed to and began full-fledged manufacturing at the new facility about two weeks ago.

"It was the right time and it's been a really smooth transition," she says.
