RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Winnebago Hires Tony Chupp as Director of Parts and Service

145762292526352.jpgFOREST CITY, IOWA - Winnebago announced today that Tony Chupp has joined the company as director of parts and service, towables business.

In his new position, Chupp is responsible for the service and parts activities of the towables business.

“Winnebago is committed to becoming a leader in the towables market,” Vice President and General Manager Scott Degnan says. “It is our goal to leverage the Winnebago legacy of motorhome excellence and provide our dealers and mutual customers with similar experiences and that includes parts and service.”

Chupp has previously held director of service and other service and warranty leadership positions for such companies as Forest River, Evergreen and Four Winds Inc., along with serving on RVIA’s RV Service Training Council.

“Tony will use his experience and leadership to further elevate our towable service and parts functions,” Degnan says. “We welcome Tony to Winnebago and look forward to the valuable contributions he will make for our team.”
