The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

CHICAGO — Product of the Year winners were announced at the RVAA Executive Conference in Chicago on Thursday.
The first place winner was KING RV with the product RV Media Bluetooth Weatherproof Speaker & Awning Light, according to a press release from the RVAA. This weatherproof speaker streams music directly to the campsite.
The second place winner was AP Products, with the product Tank Check. This BlueTooth LP Tank Sensor device accurately measures the amount of LP in a variety of container sizes.
The third place winner was Winegard with the product DISH Playmaker. The DISH Playmaker is a portable antenna that works exclusively with DISH HD and SD programming subscriptions, including pay-as-you-go monthly service.
Product of the Year submissions must have been introduced to the RV market no earlier than June 1 in order to be considered for an award. A panel of select RV dealers and RVAA Distributor members judges entries.
The RV aftermarket association represents service, suppliers, distributors and manufacturer's agents for the billion-dollar RV aftermarket. The board of directors represents all sizes and elements of the market.
