EarthCruiser Celebrating Third Anniversary

Fri Aug 19, 2016

BEND, Oregon - EarthCruiser is celebrating its third anniversary after Australian founder and CEO Lance Gillies started manufacturing the product in the United States in 2013.

"The United States and Bend, Oregon in particular provides the ideal business environment for EarthCruiser," Gillies says of the EarthCruiser overland vehicles built in the United States.

CEO Lance Gillies founded EarthCruiser in Australia, but moved to Bend for family reasons in 2011 and started manufacturing in 2013. The snow and the elevation of central Oregon is great for testing, but it has been the business environment that has been crucial to the company's success over a short period of time.

"I don't think there are many places in the world one could arrive, unknown and start a manufacturing company building a very sophisticated vehicle," Gillies says. "The wonderful people, the system and infrastructure we have had the pleasure to work with from start up to now is very humbling."

The manufacturing plant and head office is located in Bend, Oregon, an outdoor recreational mecca. The adventure travel or overland travel business has been growing around the world. EarthCruiser exports to Asia, Europe and Middle East from the Oregon plant.

EarthCruiser has been nominated for a New Business award by the local chamber and as a thank you to the extremely supportive business community EarthCruiser is hosting an invitation only party on Aug. 28 in Bend, Oregon to celebrate three years of success and show case some of the EarthCruiser range of vehicles made in the USA.
