LIVINGSTON, Texas - Escapees RV Club has wrapped up its 56th Escapade, a social and educational rally for RVers. It was a full house, with more than 1,300 attendees filling the Champlain Valley Exposition Center in Essex Junction, Vermont. Attendees had 85 seminars and workshops to choose from, and social events happened throughout the five day event. Many vendors of RV services and supplies participated in the marketplace, where attendees could browse their offerings and sign up for select on-site maintenance services.
Escapade is also an opportunity for RVers to support CARE., a non-profit dedicated to helping RVers whose health affects their ability to travel. CARE also serves the community local to Escapees’ national headquarters by offering adult day care services. A total of $8,892 was raised for CARE, including a significant donation from Alliant Credit Union, a long-time supporter of Escapees RV Club and CARE.
Members of Escapees look forward to Escapade each year. While many educational resources are available, members also attend for social opportunities. Members since 1993, David and Brenda Neil describe Escapade as a place for “seeing old friends and making new ones," according to a press release from Escapees RV Club. Staff members are equally excited to participate.
"The Escapade, for me, is such a rewarding experience because everything Escapees stands for is there: support, knowledge, people, caring and sharing," Escapees COO Teresa Moore says. "Everything we work so hard for during the year is realized at Escapade.”
The next Escapade is March 19-24, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona. Registration is underway, with full and partial hook-ups available as well as ample space for boondocking. More information is available at 888-757-2582 or by visiting escapees.com/escapade.
