RV News Exclusive: Vanleigh RV Debuting Unique Fifth Wheel

Fri Aug 26, 2016

The Burnsville, Mississippi-based company will be showing its new Vilano fifth wheel at the Hershey RV Show in Pennsylvania from Sept. 12-18 and then showing again at the Elkhart Open House from Sept. 19-23.

Leigh Tiffin, the co-owner and general manager of Vanleigh RV says the Vilano has some features that will be different than anyone else’s in the industry.

“Our units look different and feel different than anyone else’s,” he says. “Maybe it’s because we’re not in Elkhart and we have a different feel. What makes this (the Vilano) so different is the way the bedroom and the bathroom are arranged. It’s going to be the last 20 feet of the trailer that will grab people’s attention. It’s way different and really cool compared to what’s out there.”

Another thing that makes this trailer unique is the six eight-foot-tall slide-outs that make the fifth wheel feel residential and open. Also, continuing with the trend of not having carpet in the majority of the model adds to the luxurious feel throughout, he says.

Other features include complete hardwood cabinetry and the multiplex wiring system that is complete throughout the unit.

“Everything is fabricated in-house,” Tiffin says. “It’s way different than anything you see in the market.”

In addition to the Vilano, the company has expanded its dealer network and its manufacturing space in response to the growth it has seen over the last year. This includes adding 80,000 square feet of space for warehousing material and taking the opportunity to be more aggressive in putting the company name out there.

“I think it would be good to let people know the tremendous response to the products,” Tiffin says. “It has to do with the fact that one of the things we focus on is the millwork and cabinetry. We’re now getting a little more aggressive about opening up our distribution channels and expanding the dealer network. There are a lot of great things from a growth standpoint. We’re picking up steam and now is a great time to get on board.”

In addition to the Hersey RV Show, Vanleigh RV will be exhibiting at the Elkhart Open House on County Road 17 across from Executive Parkway.
