RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Written Technician Certification Test Offered Nov. 9 in Las Vegas

147274370840406.jpgRV technicians will have an opportunity to take a written RVDA-RVIA RV Service Technician Certification Test during the 2016 RV Dealers International Convention Expo in Las Vegas. Both the Registered level and the Certification level tests will be offered Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.

No walk-ins will be accommodated. Technicians interested in testing must complete and submit a test application to RVDA by Oct. 19. Only current Registered level technicians and previously certified technicians are eligible to take the Certified technician test.

• Registered Technician test application fee is $150
• Certified Technician test application fee is $325

The industry’s technician certification program is administered by RVDA and RVIA under the auspices of the RV Service Technician Certification Governing Board.
