RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Campers Inn Donates $5,000 to Mike Molino RV Learning Center

147274418134593.pngCampers Inn has made a $5,000 donation to the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, pushing the dealership group’s lifetime total to $76,000. Donor funding makes possible affordable, high quality education for RV dealers and staff.

“Camper’s Inn continues to be a steady donor, already giving $76,000 on their way to reaching their pledged amount of $100,000,” says RV Learning Center Chairman of the Board Jeff Pastore of Hartville RV Center in Hartville, Ohio. “Regular, reliable funding is the key to continuous improvement of the Learning Center’s products and services. Camper’s Inn CEO Jeff Hirsch knows the value of the Learning Center to his dealerships and to the entire industry and he is always a great supporter.”

Hirsch is chairman of RVAC, the RV Assistance Corporation; a past RVDA Chairman of the Board, and serves on the RV Learning Center Board of Directors. Campers Inn has been recognized as one of RV Business magazine’s Top 50 Dealers in North America and honored as the winner of the 2014 Innovation Award. The dealership group now consists of 15 locations throughout the Northeast and Southeast regions of the U.S.

Gifts to the Learning Center support development of indispensable resources like the recently revised Service Management Guide and the most important dealer education event of the year, the 2016 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo that will be held Nov. 7-11 in Las Vegas.

In addition, donations to the RV Learning Center support the Society of Certified RV Professionals, webinars on current topics, training and certification for dealership staff, and essential publications and learning guides. Contributors can make online donations or use a printable form that accommodates customized pledges and scheduled donations as well as lump sum gifts.

The RV Learning Center is supported by dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and other RV industry members committed to dealership education and the high levels of customer service provided by educated employees.
