Free Webinar on Hazardous Waste Disposal Offered Sept. 8

Tue Sep 6, 2016

147274418134593.pngFairfax, Virginia - Could your dealership survive a dumpster dive by environmental regulators looking for hazardous waste violations? As laws for disposal of hazardous waste become more stringent, it’s important for dealership staff to know how to differentiate hazardous waste from universal waste and general trash.

A free KPA dealer webinar from the Mike Molino RV Learning Center on Thursday, Sept. 8 at noon ET will guide employees in making good decisions and learning best practices related to waste disposal. This important webinar is applicable to the vast majority of dealership staff and can be accessed in recorded format at any time after the live event on the Learning Center’s webinar archive page.

Used oil containers, solvent-based paint, and aerosol cans are considered by many as items that can be thrown in a single trash can. Any materials that are considered a violation in a dumpster can incur a penalty. A dealer’s exposure to fines only multiplies with the number of dumpsters, as well as company sites.

Join KPA's District Manager Jennifer Blake, and environmental health and safety engineer, as she reviews current waste management laws on both state and federal levels as well as the importance of having a universal hazardous waste program in place. Webinars are provided by RVDA’s strategic partner KPA as part of the array of educational offerings available through the RV Learning Center. Register online. If you have any questions or feedback, contact Allyson Lewis at alewis@kpaonline.com or 866-356-1735 or Karin Van Duyse at the RV Learning Center at kvanduyse@rvda.org or 703-591-7130.
