RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Thor Motor Coach Debuts 2017 Miramar and Challenger

Consumers can find a floor plan that is made to fit their needs in the Miramar, according to a press release from Thor Industries. With six innovative floor plans, the Miramar is powered by a 6.8L V10 engine on the Ford F-53 chassis.

New for 2017, the interior high-gloss cabinetry options have been completely redesigned and feature solid-wood, Amish made construction. The cabinetry is complemented with two new décor options, Bamboo Frost and Rip Tide. The Miramar also received new vinyl floors, new wall colors, solid surface counter tops, new furniture styling, new faucets in the bath and shower, new tile backsplash, new headboard and a new power ceiling vent option. Customers will enjoy the new LED reading lights over the bed as well as the under galley LED lights, which combine beauty and functionality.

The Challenger offers luxury with a combination of leatherette furniture, solid surface countertops and solid wood cabinet doors. New for 2017 are refreshed exterior full-body paint, which is modern and clean. The new high-gloss, glazed Pacific cherry cabinets are complimented with three new interior décor options.

The new 37YT layout features an always-n-view 40-inch LED TV over an electric fireplace. Perfect for couples and for families, the 37YT can sleep up to seven people. A large king-bed is featured in the master suite, while kids or invited guests can choose three other possible sleeping space options in the dream dinette, L-shaped sofa and drop-down overhead bunk offers a large amount of sleeping area up front.
