Leisure Time Sales Building New Headquarters

Fri Sep 9, 2016

QUISPAMSIS, New Brunswick - Construction has begun on the new Leisure Time Sales headquarters. The 19,000 square-foot RV dealership will be located off the Mackay Highway at the Gondola Point Arterial in Quispamsis.

The new 40-acre property marks a five-kilometer move from Leisure Time’s current location near the Hammond River Bridge, its home since 1978. The Dobson family has been looking for a new location for Leisure Time since a redesigned Route 1 drew traffic away from its location on the old road to Hampton. The new location is adjacent to service stations and restaurants in the heart of Quispamsis.

“Our new facility has been on the drawing board for more than five years,” Leisure Time General Manager Derek Dobson says. “We are excited to be moving into a visible, high-traffic area. We think it’s the perfect location.”

Leisure Time will continue to provide the best RV customer service in the new facility, which will feature eight drive-thru service bays, an indoor showroom and a large parts and accessories store, according to a press release.

“It’ll be customer friendly,” Dobson says.

Leisure Time has hired Bird Construction to manage the construction of the project with the emphasis on using local trades and local materials.

“It’s important to us to support the people who have been good to us throughout our long history in our community,” Dobson says. “Tenders have been awarded for over 80 percent of the construction. We are proud to keep those dollars here in our region.”

Leisure Time expects construction to be finished in February.

“We can’t wait to welcome our customers to our new home in time for the 2017 camping season,” Dobson says.
