Elkhart Coach Expanding to New Location

Thu Sep 22, 2016

ELKHART, Indiana - A subsidiary of Elkhart-based Forest River Inc. is expanding operations in order to double production. Elkhart Coach is planning to move into a new location in the city later this year to meet increasing demand.

The move would allow Elkhart Coach to increase production capacity to more than 2,500 units annually. The company did not release information on how large the new facility will be or how many jobs would be created as a result of the expansion.

Elkhart Coach manufactures shuttle buses that can seat 15-25 passengers. The company says, in addition to increasing overall volume, the expansion will reduce the amount of time dealers have to wait for delivery.
