RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

REV RV Group Recognizes Top Selling Dealer at Open House

Decatur, Indiana - Executives from REV RV Group and its parent company REV Group, Inc. were on hand to recognize members of the General RV staff at the annual Elkhart Dealer Open House last week.

“We are very proud to have dealerships like General RV represent our products,” REV Group Vice President of Sales Lenny Razo says. “Partnerships like this are why we have seen strong sales over the past several months. We are honored that General RV represents our products and congratulate them on their achievement.”

“We are proud to be the top selling dealer for the Race for the Winner’s Circle,” General RV Director of Sales Bob Green says. “REV RV has great products and they continue to meet the needs of our customers.”

Executives from REV RV Group as well as REV Group, Inc. were on hand at the Elkhart Dealer Open House to recognize General RV for its accomplishment. Also on hand to congratulate the General RV staff was Three-time Indianapolis 500 Winner and REV Group ambassador, Team Penske driver Helio Castroneves.

As the winners of the Race for the Winner’s Circle event, General RV received a Top Dealer trophy, an autographed Team Penske racing helmet and a replica deck-lid autographed by Team Penske drivers. General RV also will receive six VIP tickets to the Ford Ecoboost 300 NASCAR Xfinity race at Homestead Miami Speedway and also will have the General RV logo featured on the deck-lid of the No. 22 Team Penske Xfinity Ford Mustang during the race.

“Through our partnership with Team Penske, we have the ability to offer our dealers a unique opportunity, and an experience they won’t get anywhere else,” REV RV Group President Jim Jacobs says. “To be featured on a NASCAR Xfinity car during a race alongside the REV brand is very special. We are proud to be able to have General RV represented with us.”

The Race for the Winner’s Circle event featured three heats or categories of dealerships. Each REV RV dealer was placed into a heat based off of dealership size. Other heat winners include Funtime RV and Paul Everets. Each winner will receive VIP tickets to the Homestead race as well as a trophy and Team Penske autographed helmet.
