RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RV Industry Descends on Pomona for California RV Show

147577271431439.jpgPOMONA, California - With the industry booming, RV manufacturers and dealers from throughout the country are at the Pomona Fairplex for the 64th Annual California RV Show.

More than 1,300 recreational vehicles, from toy haulers and fifth wheel trailers to luxurious motorhomes that can cost as much as $700,000, are on display in an outdoor plot of land at Fairplex’s Gate 9 on White Avenue. The event runs through Oct. 16.

With incentives and deals, consumers could expect to save from 10 to 30 percent on the cost of an RV, George Carson, the spokesman for the event, says. The show is sponsored by the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association.
