RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Aluminum Trailer Co. Expands in 2017, Adding 38 Jobs

NAPPANEE, Indiana — Aluminum Trailer Co. in Nappanee is getting ready to expand in 2017, adding 38 jobs by 2018.

Aluminum Trailer Co. at 401 S. Williams St. is set to invest more than $5 million in a new facility at 751 N. Tomahawk Trail. The Nappanee City Council approved on first reading a 10-year tax abatement to help the company expand into the new 110,000-square-foot facility.

Aluminum Trailer, a manufacturer of all types of aluminum trailers, has until the end of March 2017 to make $4.5 million worth of improvements to the new facility. The company has committed to making $560,000 worth of equipment and technology improvements by July 2017.
