RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Navistar and Meritor Announce Agreement through Fleetrite Brand

146548760912133.jpgNavistar has announced a new agreement with Meritor, Inc. to co-brand Premium Brake Shoe Kits offered through the Fleetrite heavy duty parts brand. The agreement covers approximately 50 part numbers that will be labeled Fleetrite Manufactured by Meritor.

“This agreement demonstrates our continued partnership with Meritor to offer quality products that also provide bottom line value to our customers,” Navistar Vice President of Global Parts Product Management Joel Larsen says. “The rapid sales growth of our Fleetrite brand is due in large part to customer acceptance of our brake component offerings. They know they can rely on two of the most trusted names in the industry to offer premium parts, like ‘Fleetrite Manufactured by Meritor’ products, that keep their trucks and buses on the road.”
