Navy Seal Will Join Tents for Troops at RVDA

Tue Oct 18, 2016

U.S. Navy Seal Trevor Wilson (2006-16), who has six wartime deployments will join Tents for Troops at the RVDA Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas Nov. 8-10 at Bally's.

After 10 years as a Navy Seal, Wilson was ready for a change and purchased a 2016 Forest River Toy Hauler and became a full time RVer. Wilson, his Girlfriend and her Daughter now call the RV home and Wilson has offered to do everything he can to help Tents for Troops with their efforts in bringing the T4T "RV Loaner Program" to life, according to a press release.

Phil Ingrassia and Julie Newhouse at RVDA have donated a booth to Tents for Troops this year, which will be No. 100, just as you walk in the door.

Tents for Troops is asking RV Dealers and OEM's nationwide to donate $1 for each RV they build or sell to help fund this program which will loan out fully outfitted travel trailers already set up in great Family RV Parks around the country to the troops for free. Tents for Troops wants all active duty military and their family to be able to see first hand what an RV vacation is all about regardless of the ability to purchase or rent an RV.

"We all know it's the best vacation there is and it's time we start sharing this with those who have our backs 24/7," Charlie Curry with Tents for Troops says. "Without our troops, none of us would be where we are today. It's only a buck, but with industry-wide support, we can provide thousands of deserving military families with the RV vacation of a lifetime."
