RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

REV RV Group Plans to Raise $100M in IPO

145271033345802.pngMilwaukee-based specialty vehicle manufacturer Rev Group Inc. plans to raise up to $100 million in its initial public offering, according to a preliminary prospectus it filed with the SEC.

The prospectus shows the company has not yet priced the offering. It plans to list the shares of common stock on one of the stock exchanges under the symbol REVG.

Rev Group plans to use most of the proceeds of the offering to pay down debt, as well as for general and administrative expenses, capital expenditures, working capital and other general corporate purposes, according to a report by the Milwaukee Business News.

Tim Sullivan, former chief executive officer of South Milwaukee-based Bucyrus International Inc., moved Rev Group’s headquarters from Orlando, Florida to Milwaukee earlier this year.
