TriMotive Americas Announces New Products

Mon Oct 31, 2016

145684934335189.jpgTROY, Michigan – TriMotive Americas, the North American OEM division of Horizon Global Corporation, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of branded towing and trailering equipment, is introducing several new products at the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

TriMotive will display the products in the heavy duty product arena, including a custom gooseneck under bed crossmember, adapter, and fifth wheel combination for the 2017 Nissan Titan. The fifth wheel rail mounting kit adapter is specifically for the Titan XD’s three point mounting X/Member. The adapter exceeds SAE test specifications, will accommodate both the Titan short and long box options, and was designed to match the Reese 5th Wheel Slider Hitch, with a towing capacity of 12,500 pounds.

“TriMotive continues to be an industry leader in OE electrical and heavy duty towing systems in North America and other parts of the world. Our designs and technology are unmatched,” says Mike Sislo, vice president and general manager of TriMotive Americas. “We are excited to bring our best-in-class products to Nissan customers and look forward to working on additional projects with the team at Nissan in the years to come.”

Also on display will be the newest innovation for fifth wheel trailer towing, the Reese AutoGlide fifth Wheel hitch. The design of the slider hitch is rated for up to 20,000 pounds of towing capacity and allows for up to 90 degrees of rotation when maneuvering a trailer, making it useful for short-bed trucks.

The AutoGlide attaches to a factory X/Member or under-bed system identical to other Reese fifth wheel hitch products, but unlike traditional fifth wheel hitch sliders, there is no need for the consumer to leave the truck and manually lock and unlock the mechanical sliding feature because the AutoGlide is automated. The AutoGlide is tested to exceed SAE specifications for improving tight maneuvering areas, while improving ride, comfort and ease of towing.

Company products from Westfalia, Horizon Global’s recent European acquisition, will also be on display in the company’s booth.
