Winegard Unveils WiFi Extender

Mon Nov 7, 2016

147853705444127.jpgBurlington, Iowa – Winegard, a leading U.S. antenna manufacturer since 1954, has introduced the Winegard ConnecT RV Internet WiFi Extender which fills in WiFi dead zones, enabling users to keep their devices connected.

The extender increases the range of existing WiFi hotspots by capturing available WiFi signals and re-broadcasting it throughout the RV for a secure connection at the fastest speed available.

“One of the amenities people care most about when selecting an RV site is access to free WiFi,” says Keith Larson, Director of Sales and Marketing for Winegard RV Products. “Almost 90 percent of RVers use a connected device when RVing. So, it was a natural progression for Winegard to develop a product that would satisfy this industry need.”

“While other WiFi offerings mix-and-match components, Winegard designs and manufactures the routers, radios, antennas, and software, creating a seamless and integrated system,” Larson says. “The Winegard Connect was designed as one unit to work as one system. This allows faster speeds and increase WiFi range.”

The extender features software that is simple and allows online access online in minutes, secure local networks with fast speeds, detachable outdoor antennas for increased range, internal antennas for maximum coverage, streamlined set-up with single Ethernet cable installation, and dome design tested to meet the demands of the mobile environment.

The extender comes with a warranty for two years and labor for one year. The product retails for $549 MSRP.
