RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Kubacki Named Tech Info Chief

147879781353784.jpgForest City, Iowa –Jeff Kubacki is the new vice president of information technology, effective November 14, for Winnebago Industries, the company has announced.

Kubacki will report to Michael Happe, president and CEO, and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s information technology infrastructure.

Kubacki previously was vice president and chief information officer at Westinghouse Electric, a provider of nuclear power plant products and services. Prior to that, he was chief information officer at Alliant Techsystems, a defense, aerospace, sporting goods and retail markets company and Kroll, a global risk consulting firm.

“We are thrilled to attract and hire someone of Jeff’s caliber to our Winnebago Industries team,” says Happe. “Jeff will be a critical resource as we continue our digital transformation journey. He will focus on the implementation of our ERP project, but will also provide functional leadership in building a data-driven decision making culture.

“Jeff will also work with our product management and engineering teams in the future to create a more connected customer digital experience,” Happe says. “We welcome Jeff to the Winnebago team and look forward to the contributions he will make to allow the Company to serve our customers more effectively.”
