Truma AquaGo Will Show Innovations at RVIA Show

Thu Nov 17, 2016

ELKHART, Indiana — The revolutionary Truma AquaGo hybrid instant water heater has set a new level of excellence in terms of technology, operating ease, safety and design.

“It is exciting to see many manufacturers now installing the Truma AquaGo standard on their RVs," Truma President and CEO Gerhard Hundsberger says. "Truma delivers the highest quality products, service and support throughout the lifetime of each unit that we sell. Truma’s decalcification tablets were developed to extend the life of the Truma AquaGo and maintain its perfect performance."

The Truma AquaGo is the only instant water heater in the industry that can be conveniently decalcified, according to a press release.

“Minerals and other deposits, such as calcium, build up over time in all water heaters," Hundsberger says. "Instant water heaters have narrow pipes throughout the heat exchanger which calcify and can disrupt the performance of the unit. However, the Truma decalcification tablets solve this problem and are specifically designed to keep the AquaGo functioning just like the day it was purchased."

The decalcification process is designed to be simple and semi-automatic. The control panel indicates when decalcification is recommended, depending on the water hardness and the intensity of use. The tablets are simply inserted into the removable and reusable filter cartridge by opening the “Easy Drain Lever” and the AquaGo control panel guides the user through the decalcification process with LED signals.

The new Truma AquaGo decalcification tablets will be available through Truma’s Certified Dealer Partners and online at www.shop.truma.net in January 2017. Truma will demonstrate the decalcification process and highlight some additional enhancements at the 54th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 at the Truma Booth 9 located in the South Wing-Hall 1.

Truma will highlight the following product innovations: the Truma AquaGo hybrid instant water heater, including enhancements, the Truma Combi with hot air and hot water combination, and the Truma iNet System. In addition, Truma also will host its annual Christkindlmarkt party, during which one lucky Truma Sweepstakes winner will receive a vacation package to Germany.

Truma AquaGo®: More useful accessories
The Truma AquaGo accessories offer even more comfort making campers’ lives easier: the Truma AquaGo control panel allows convenient operation from inside the vehicle. The electric antifreeze kit keeps the Truma AquaGo comfort and comfort plus models frost-free down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit - without using propane. The kit works on 12 V DC electricity only and protects the Truma AquaGo from freezing, even in stand-by mode when the burner is off, or while driving with closed propane tanks. Last, but not least, the upgrade kit enables Truma AquaGo basic users to benefit from all features of the comfort version.

Truma Combi furnace
The Truma Combi is North America’s first forced air LP gas furnace with integrated water heating function. Thanks to its compact dimensions, excellent energy efficiency of approximately 90 percent, and its quiet operation, the Truma Combi has been the best-selling RV furnace in Europe and Australia for more than 20 years.
The Truma Combi is available in four models: eco (14,300 BTU/h), comfort (20,400 BTU/h), eco plus and comfort plus. The “plus” versions are equipped with 1,700 watt electrical heating elements at 120 VAC to heat not only the water, but also the air inside the vehicle when connected to shore power or a generator. They can be operated on propane, electricity or a combination of both.

Truma iNet System
A further highlight is the Truma iNet System. It enables the Truma Combi furnace to be remotely controlled via smartphone or tablet – anywhere and anytime. Be it on the ski slopes, hiking or simply from the awning or bed: The System allows RVers to control the Combi furnace conveniently via the Truma app and to regulate the current device and vehicle status.

Truma Christkindlmarkt continues its annual tradition
On Wednesday, Nov. 30, the Truma booth will transform into a Christkindlmarkt (a German Christmas market) from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Authentic Glühwein (hot spiced wine) will be served straight from a functioning Truma AquaGo instant water heater along with German Lebkuchen (gingerbread cookies). All RV manufacturers, dealers, journalists and other exhibitors are welcome to attend.
