The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

The RVIA National Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky also is also a place where Canadian dealers get a chance to honor the 2016 Canadian RV Dealers of the Year.
The award will be handed out Nov. 28 and there are four nominees up for the award. They are:
James Epp of Fraserway RV; Kirk Thomson of Can-Am RV Centre; Alden Kowarsky of Alco VR; and George Goodrick of Adventure Sports.
The RVDA of Canada's show will feature Max Valiquette, who has been named one of the most influential marketers by Marketing Magazine. He has worked with some of the biggest brands around the world as a leading marketing and brand strategist.
The Outlook Breakfast will feature Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, who is famous for the 208 seconds that put his career and lives of all of his passengers on the line when he landed his plane on the Hudson River.
"Sure, not everyone needs to know how to land a plane on the Hudson River, but everyone should know how preparation, training and leadership helped him through the 208 seconds that put his career on the line," according to a press release from the RVDA of Canada.
Dealers also can attend any of 12 free technician training sessions at the show.
