Pender, Nebraska - Blue Ox unveiled its newest product, the Super Ride Fifth Wheel at SEMA 2016.
The new Super Ride is designed to be the most convenient 20K Fifth Wheel Slider currently on the market, attaching directly to the gooseneck ball and not the socket, which means it is compatible with any gooseneck hitch with a 2-5/16-inch hitch ball. This allows full access to the truck bed when not towing.
“There are many fifth wheel options on the market, so when we engineered the Super Ride we wanted to encompass convenience and comfort for the customer” Blue Ox President and CEO Ellen Kietzmann says. “One of the great features of the Super Ride is the cushioned hitch head. This allows for a smooth ride while towing, and eliminates the bucking and stress on the truck and trailer.”
Some of the key features of the Super Ride include 11 inches of articulating travel, a self-locking hitch head that engages the kingpin at a full 360 degrees and a convenient lightweight, modular design that enables one-person installation and removal.
“We are so pleased that the Super Ride received a Diesel Tech Show Stopper Award at SEMA,” Kietzmann says. “The Diesel Tech staff was very impressed by the modular design. We look forward to introducing the Super Ride to our RV dealers at RVIA 2016 in Louisville next week.”
There will be two part numbers available. One that attaches directly to the gooseneck ball (BXR6200), and one that attaches to industry standard rails (BXR7200).
