RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Don's RV Center Expanding

Don’s RV Center in Turlock, California is set for expansion following the Stanislaus County Planning Commission’s recent approval of the center’s plans to create an additional recreational vehicle sales yard.

The 4.87 acre parcel, located adjacent to the existing RV center at 4872 Rohde Road, east of Highway 99 in the Keyes area, was approved to be designated from Medium Density Residential to Commercial in order to allow for the expansion at the planning commission’s Nov. 17 meeting. The expansion will take place in three phases, and when completed will bring an additional 101 RV parking spaces to the business.

Phase One, proposed to be completed within 18 months, includes 30 new RV spaces along the frontage of Rohde Road, fencing and landscaping of the perimeter, a new driveway, two new gates, parking lot lights and additional surveillance. Phase Two of the project will be completed within 30 months and includes 71 additional RV spaces. Phase Three, which will be completed within 36 months, will pave the new RV spaces.
