RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RV China Announces Dates for China International RV Exhibition

BEIJING – RV China has announced plans to host the China International RV and Camping Exhibition March 23-26 at the Beijing RV Expo Center.

The show is held bi-annually, every spring and autumn. Since 2010, the exhibition has developed as the most influential RV and camping trading exhibition in Asia, which is regarded as the barometer of Chinese RV development, according to a press release.

The 2016 spring RV and camping exhibition even made historic breakthroughs with the exhibition scale of 60,000 square meters of space, 58,680 visitors and 338 exhibitors.

RV China is hoping to present the entire industrial chain for the RV and camping industry and provides consumers with more convenient one-stop purchase opportunities to RV selection, usage, maintenance, modification, travel and campsites.

The goal is to offer a great platform for both domestic and foreign RV and camping companies to get understanding and cooperation among one another, according to the press release.

Product groups represented at the show include RVs, chassis, RV accessories, campsite design, campsite equipment, mobile home products and outdoor equipment.

According to RV China, the China International RV and Camping Exhibition show noted:

83 percent of visitors have purchasing intention
91 percent of exhibitors were satisfied with the quality of visitors
99 percent of exhibitors were satisfied with the exhibition and would attend the exhibition again

The event is directed by the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers Recreational Vehicle Industry Committee.

Established in 2002, 21RV is China's first integrated enterprise that combines various functions including media publicity, event activity, RV trade market, RV tourism and campsite construction consultation, promoting RV and camping culture and the development of Chinese RV and camping industry, according to the press release.

The show is open March 23-25 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and March 26 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Companies interested in exhibiting at the show may acquire raw space for 1,200 yuan per square meter with a minimum allocation of 60 square meters. Or they can acquire a booth in the “shell scheme” for 12,000 yuan per 9-square-meter booth.
