RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RV News Exclusive: RVDA Comms Specialist Resigns

145072686053695.jpgRVDA Marketing and Communications Specialist Julianne Ryder has resigned her position to take a more senior communications job with the United Motor Coach Association.

Ryder was with RVDA for four years and will start her new job with the UMA Dec. 9, RVDA President Phil Ingrassia says.

“She was a key part of developing our mobile app and she also worked with me to distribute news releases and things like that,” Ingrassia says. “She did a great job for us. We wish her the best.”

With Ryder’s resignation, her previous slot is now open and RVDA is accepting applications for the position.

The candidate will help create and implement communications programs that effectively promote association products and services using e-marketing, print, brochures, media releases and other promotional strategies, according to the job posting.

“We need somebody with some experience who is able to help us communicate with our members, trade press and is also digitally savvy and can work with social media,” Ingrassia says.
