The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Longtime RV Sales Representative Bruce William Alexander passed away Dec. 3 at the age of 70.
Alexander was the sales manager for Overland Motor Homes in Orange, California, while he also worked for several manufacturers such as Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. and Retro Travel Trailers.
In addition to the RV industry, Alexander also was involved in real estate. In his obituary, he is noted as a "born salesman who loved his work in real estate and recreational vehicles."
Alexander was preceded in death by parents: Donald B. and Mildred Alexander. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Paula Alexander, of Orange Beach, Alabama; brother, Dennis B. Alexander (Shirley), of Tybee Island, Georgia; sister, Gaye Marie Hawkins (Jeff), of Peoria, Arizona; nephew, Chris Alexander (Michelle) of Redondo Beach, California; and nephew, Brad Alexander (Anita and grand-niece, Eloise) of Irving, Texas.
Alexander graduated from California State University, Fullerton. He was a storyteller who found delight in making others laugh and was generous to his favorite charities that helped people most in need. He loved his pets, Peanut and Socks, but most of all he loved his wife Paula, the center of his life, whom he treasured above all else.
A funeral mass will be held Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas by the Sea Catholic Church in Orange Beach, Alabama, with a reception to follow.
