The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Elkhart, Indiana - StateWide Windows hosted its annual Employee Appreciation Banquet on Friday, Dec. 12 at its manufacturing facility in Elkhart, Indiana.
In addition to celebrating the season with a holiday buffet, the management team rewarded its staff of 180 for a number of accomplishments achieved during the year and made a cash donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart County.
Prizes were given to employees who served on the safety committee, snow patrol, perfect attendance, those who submitted suggestions for improvements at the company during the year and individual employees who were promoted during 2016. A number of employees also received recognition for service periods of five, 10, 15, 25 and 30 or more years with the company, with the longest serving employee being with StateWide for 38 years. Several other prizes, including a large screen television, were raffled off to employees as part of the event.
"We take this opportunity every year to recognize our employees for their diligence and hard work," Vice President of Marketing and Sales Dan Wright says. "I think it shows how much our employees enjoy working here when you see how many of them have been here for 10 years or more. We're very proud of our employees and the culture we've built here at StateWide."
Executive Director Glen Stutzman and Community Engagement Coordinator Shelby Herms also were in attendance as representatives of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart County and were presented with a $667 donation raised by StateWide employees.
"It's huge to have a company like StateWide that stands with us and supports our fundraising events," Stutzman says. "This support helps us to realize our mission, which is to help those kids facing adversity to reach their potential."
