Mercedes-Benz has launched the Marco Polo campervan in the UK. The new luxury camper, which is based on the V-Class and is built for Mercedes by German converter, Westfalia, was due to be launched two years ago but is only now arriving in the UK

The new four-berth campervan, which will go head-to-head with the VW California, comes well equipped with a rising-roof complete with double bed and a rear bench that converts into a second double. The rest of the layout is the typical side-kitchen format found in most campervans.

There are two versions available – the entry Sport Marco Polo and the range topping AMG Line Marco Polo. Both are very well equipped and come powered by the Mercedes Euro VI 2.1-liter twin-turbo diesel producing either 163bhp and 380Nm of torque or 190bhp and 440Nm of torque.
