RV News Exclusive: REV Group Enters New RV Segment with Renegade

Tue Jan 3, 2017

Renegade RV was founded in 1997 and employs about 175 people in its 200,000 square-foot facility in Bristol, Indiana.

REV Group Marketing Manager Don Gephart says entering into a segment that was previously untouched by the REV Group was the largest factor in pursuing the acquisition.

"The Renegade history of great products and quality innovation was really attractive, especially in a segment in the RV industry that we weren't in," Gephart says. "They have the custom IKON, the Verona and their Super C chassis and Class C diesels that we weren't in and didn't have that segment."

The purchase price of Renegade was not available, but Gephart says there will be no management changes, relocations or shifts in business philosophy for REV Group or Renegade.

"I really don't think there will be a lot of changes," Gephart says. "They have a great team in place already. We're going to help them out as we need to and they will help us out. There won't be a lot of changes that people will notice. In the short term, we will be helping them out in marketing and stuff like that. With their products and their team and the segment they were in, it really made sense to bring them aboard."

The REV Recreation Group now includes the manufacturing companies American Coach, Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Fleetwood RV and Renegade RV.

“Our team at Renegade is results-driven. We take a lot of pride in the products we build and always make it a priority to provide our customers with the top-notch quality and customer service they deserve," Renegade RV President Mike Lanciotti said in a press release on Friday. "I am confident that our alignment with REV Recreation Group will provide us with the financial, engineering and manufacturing resources we need to embark on the next phase of growth for our company.”
